Maria Robertson

The Director of Community Engagement is responsible for all public and media relations and serves as the spokesperson for Decatur Public Schools. This office oversees the district's primary means of communication including mailings, e-Newsletter, web content, Facebook, and Comcast education channel (Channel 22).

About Me:

I joined the #DPSfamily on July 1st, 2015. Prior to my role in Decatur, I worked in the Client & Community Relations department at PNC Bank in Louisville, KY. Decatur Public Schools is an incredible district that has amazing students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators, board members and is full of pride that has a collaborative supportive community. My goal is to help bring all that excitement to our internal and external stakeholders through stories, videos, social media and more. 

I am a graduate of Focus Louisville, a local leadership development organization, and served on the executive committee for Churchill Down's Derby Host Program. I am also active in breast cancer prevention awareness and fundraising. My interests include spending time with my family and friends, watching sports and traveling.
