I have heard nothing but postive things about the company, the company also has different carees and bussiness aspects I could learn about.
What is the most important and/or valuable thing you have learned since being with the company?
I've learned how to market things on social media and, I've also learned about the real esate side of the company.
What is something that you have learned that could give you an advantage in your career?
How to use various apps that helps with online marketing.
Have you done any exciting projects? If so what was your favorite project and what did you do?
Yes, I got to help create postcards for the agents and, market the homes they are selling on social media.

Yes, it has helped me.

It has taught me how things actually are in the real world, how important it is to get involved in things such as an internship and, the great things that can come out of it.

Why did you choose to intern at the business you are at?
I have a passion for animals and wanted to become a veterinarian, specializing in equine, when I was older.
What is the most important and/or valuable thing you have learned since being with the company?
I already knew how precious and valuable each and every animal life is, but being at a shelter caring for those animals and making sure they all go get a loving family of there own makes me realize that much more.
What is something that you have learned that could give you an advantage in your career?
Yes, I have learned about different types of sicknesses and symptoms of those illnesses.
Have you done any exciting projects? If so what was your favorite project and what did you do?
Yes, I have done exciting work at the shelter. I have neutered a dog by myself, with the vet watching me preform the procedure, before.
Has this internship helped you decide what you would like to do in the future?
I am still struggling on my decision on a career in the future. I'm still unsure if I want to keep the Air Force as a career or go to school to become a vet, after I finish my contract to serve.
What has the “InspirED” program taught you?
InspirED has taught me that getting out and volunteering your time with people that are in the career field you want to go into is a huge benefit and could help you decide one of the most important decisions of your life.

Why did you choose to intern at the business you are at?
I love surgeries and learning about the body and I also love animals so I thought, "why not combine the best of both worlds?"
What is the most important and/or valuable thing you have learned since being with the company?
Your safety, above all, comes first.
What is something that you have learned that could give you an advantage in your career?
How to restrain a dog during ultrasounds, when drawing blood, fecal samples, urine samples, or when administering shots so that no one gets bit.
Have you done any exciting projects? If so what was your favorite project and what did you do?
I have been included in multiple surgeries so far, helping to monitor heart rate and making sure the animal does not wake up during surgery. I may also get the opportunity to spay or neuter an animal and I am extremely excited about that.
Has this internship helped you decide what you would like to do in the future?
Yes, absolutely. In the beginning I was torn between nursing or pre-vet, and Northgate has helped me decide in so many different ways. I would like to become a veterinarian, possibly specializing in larger animals or exotics.
What has the “InspirED” program taught you?
InspirED has taught me to never decide on one plan and stick straight to it. I should always consider all of my options and let life help me plan the way to my future.

Every week I plan an art project for Young at Art. My favorite project was probably the Valentine Lion project. It was a lion made out of hearts.

Why did you choose to intern at the business you are at?
I chose to intern at DMH because I plan on going into the medical field after I graduate.
What is the most important and/or valuable thing you have learned since being with the company?
By working so close to so many professionals, I was able to learn an immense amount of information. However the one thing that everyone seemed to say was that grades are everything.
What is something that you have learned that could give you an advantage in your career?
The best way to get into medical school is to have a good college GPA.
Have you done any exciting projects? If so what was your favorite project and what did you do?
By being in the Anesthesia Department, I was able to sit in on a few surgeries, and I must say that these were the most exciting projects for me. The surgery that I remember the most has to be the first one I ever experienced, and that was watching someone get their appendix removed.

The internship has given me a lot of insight on what everyone is suppose to do in the health care field, and it has helped reassure my decision of becoming an anesthesiologist in the future.

The InspirED program has taught me a lot about responsibility. Everyone throughout this programs treats you as if you were an adult, so you have no choice but to act like one.

Why did you choose to intern at the business you are at?
I want to be an elementary teacher.
What is the most important and/or valuable thing you have learned since being with the company?
For one, I learned how to use a copy machine. But more important than that, I learned how to deal with difficult children when they are having problems with other children or when they are refusing to work.
What is something that you have learned that could give you an advantage in your career?
Being at a Montessori School and getting that experience, I believe, has given me the advantage of being more marketable.
Have you done any exciting projects? If so what was your favorite project and what did you do?
I don't know if it would be a project exactly, but one day I got to specifically work with the first graders on a work with measurement that they were doing. I helped them get it done, and when they were finished I checked their work.
Has this internship helped you decide what you would like to do in the future?
Going into this internship, I wasn't sure what grade I wanted to teach. This has helped me decide what grades I prefer. Also, I never considered teaching Montessori, but I am now considering it.

I have definitely learned how to approach people in different situations and how to properly investigate a circumstance.

Tone. Having the proper tone and skills with people always helps to give a proper impression.

While I was there one day, we were investigating a house of dogs not having proper shelter, being registered, and not having food/water. I got to come in contact with the cutest shepherd puppy and my life was made, even with us ensuring the dog was in a suitable environment.
